As part of its expansion plans, the Firm assisted the client with the Dominican authorities (Specialized Corps in Airport Security and Civil Aviation – CESAC, Civil Aviation Board – JAC and the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation – IDAC) to establish a branch in the country and obtain all the licenses and permits required to operate commercial flights from Spain to the Dominican Republic. During the operation of the flights between Madrid and Punta Cana, the Client identified new opportunities to do business in the Dominican Republic, expanding activities with flights to Santo Domingo. This is how the Firm has been assisting the Client in the procedures to modify the original permits granted to include new routes, but it has also assisted the Client with the registration of a wet lease contract and two modifications of said contract. On the other hand, the Firm has supported the Client in requesting and obtaining special permits to vary flight frequencies for specific dates. In addition, the Firm is preparing to initiate new permits and licenses for a parent company of the Client located in Portugal.
